1. Introduction and Acceptance

  2. By using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement, including any future updates or changes posted without specific notice.

2. Description of Services

  1. Nature of the Service: The Site provides general information about Social Security Disability and related services and outlines the legal representation offered by The Clauson Law Firm. The firm may associate with out-of-state co-counsel to handle matters as appropriate, subject to your informed consent and a signed engagement agreement.
  2. No Professional Advice: The content on this Site is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by visiting this Site, submitting information, or contacting the firm, unless and until you sign a formal written agreement.
  3. Attorney Representation: The Clauson Law Firm provides legal representation through attorneys licensed in North Carolina and may work with attorneys licensed in other jurisdictions through co-counsel agreements, which will be disclosed and require your written consent. Representation is not guaranteed and is subject to case evaluation.

3. User Eligibility and Registration

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  1. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
  2. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.
  3. The arbitration shall take place in Durham, North Carolina, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Judgment on any arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

15. Class Action Waiver and Individual Remedies

  1. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, consolidated action, or representative action.
  2. You waive your right to participate in any class, consolidated, or representative actions against The Clauson Law Firm.

16. DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that any content on this Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) by providing our designated agent with the following information in writing:

17. Miscellaneous

  1. Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  2. Assignment: We may assign or transfer our rights under this Agreement without notice to you. You may not assign or transfer your rights without our express prior written consent.
  3. Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitutes the entire agreement between you and The Clauson Law Firm regarding your use of the Site.
  4. Waiver: Failure by The Clauson Law Firm to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be deemed a waiver of future enforcement of that or any other provision.
